Administrator of Emohua Local Government Area, Franklin Ajinwo, has charged security agencies to apprehend those behind the assassination of Chief Ferdinand Dabiri, the vice chairman of Obelle Council of Chiefs who was slain recently.

Ajinwo made this call when he visited the scene of the crime where he also commiserated with the people of Obelle and members of the Dabiri family.

The council boss described the incident as unfortunate and issued marching orders to all security outfits in the area to work assiduously and arrest the assailants within the shortest possible time.

He eulogized the deceased as an advocate of peace, a crusader for progress and development for his people, and a vocal voice who paid the supreme price while championing a peaceful cause for his people.

Ajinwo tasked security agencies to leave nothing undone to bring the criminals to book, urging them to see the case as a challenge and do everything within their powers to arrest all those involved

“Security agencies must not leave anything undone to bring the criminals who shot Chief Dabiri to book. See this case as a challenge.

“I know you have the capacity. Do everything within your powers to arrest him and his conspirators and chase them to wherever they are even to outside the borders of the state and get them to face the arm of the law,” he said.

The administrator further hinted that plans were underway to restore normalcy to the community, admonishing the residents not to compromise the peace of the area but resist mischief makers and offer timely and useful information to security outfits to forestall breakdown of law and order.
