Killers Of Okada Rider To Face Justice, Says Rivers Police

Rivers State Police command has revealed what will become of the gunmen who shot an Okada man to death at Civil Defence Road in Ahoada town of the Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko who confirmed the incident, assured that the perpetrators would not go unpunished.
Recall that on the night of Sunday, November 17, 2024, an Okada rider whose name was given simply as Mr. Innocent was killed and his motorcycle carted away by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.
The incident which was reported to Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada main town was said to have been committed by three yet to be identified robbers.
It was gathered that the suspects stopped the motorcycle rider along the road, pretending they wanted to board his Okada.
The Okada man was said to have resisted when he became aware that their mission was to rob him of his motorcycle.
It was reported that the gunmen shot him following his resistance. Mr. Innocent was confirmed dead few hours after he was rushed to a hospital by his family members.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state Police assured that, “investigation is ongoing. Efforts are in top gear to apprehend the perpetrators and make them face justice.”
