Kalabari Youths Laud DELGA Chair, Call For Massive Employment

Degema Local Council Chairman, Hon. Tony Philmoore has received accolades from the youths of Kalabari community for his undaunted efforts in service delivery, especially for being proactive in curbing insecurity on the Bille/Ke waterways through a Surveillance Team.
President-General of the youths in Nigeria and in Diaspora, Amb. G. I. Madodoye who spoke on behalf of the group lauded the Executive Chairman for being conscious of the plights of his people. He said the initiative was timely, while at the same time charging parents to dissuade their children from criminal acts along those creeks and the entire local government. He also called on the security outlets to be more alive to their responsibility of protecting lives and property in the area.
The Youths President also used the avenue to call on the Council boss to do well to begin the massive employment of DELGA youths into the Local Government Civil Service to complement the Rivers State Government’s efforts in reducing unemployment and crimes in the LGA and by extension, the state.
He further charged the youths and people of the local government not to relent in giving the chairman the necessary support so as to ensure a successful administration free from any form of bad governance.
