Senator Biobarakuma W. Degi-Eremienyo has described the death of Hon. Foingha Jephthah, as a great loss to Nembe community and the entire Ijaw Nation.
Degi who expressed shock over Jephthah’s demise described him as a pleasant character, brother and friend.
He said “I am shocked with the News of Hon. Jephthah’s death. He was a brother, friend and pleasant character. May his soul rest in peace and may Almighty God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
Jephthah was a former member/Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and later served as member Federal House of Representatives-Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State.
He hails from Nembe LGA of the state. Until his death, He was a philanthropist and politician who was a major player in the state and Niger Delta politics. He was aged 68years.
