IYC Election: Igbifa’s Victory Confirms That The gods Are Wise –Ex-Agitators

A group in the Niger Delta region, known as the 21st Century Youths of the Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC) has described the victory granted Comrade Peter Timothy Igbifa and his team at the just concluded Ijaw Youth Council elections as the wisdom of the gods.
The IYC convention and election which ushered Igbifa as the 8th president of the Ijaw Youth Council worldwide was held at Oporoza, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South West of Delta State.
According to the 21st CYNDAC, who spoke through her leader, self-styled ‘General Izon Ebi’ stressed that the emergence of the newly elected executives is expected to restore the dignity of the people in Andoni from what they described as the brutality and inhuman treatment meted on them.
Izon Ebi said, “The IYC election in Oporoza has further exposed that the gods are wise. For us, it signals two factors: 1) that we are all Ijaws in the same cause, 2) for the IYC president Comrade Peter Timothy Igbifa to restore the dignity of his people in Andoni his hometown because the brutality and inhuman treatment meted on the people of Andoni by their children there is unacceptable.
“We therefore recommend that the IYC under the leadership of Peter Timothy Igbifa as a matter of urgency swing into action and restore peace and stop all forms of criminality in the Andoni houses.
“We also use this medium to urge the IYC to close rank and marshal out a clear cut agenda that will usher in peace and prosperity not only in Andoni but all over the Ijaw nationality for a new release of fresh air.”
Also, onbehalf of the group, he expressed satisfaction for what he described as victory granted Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo over evil forces of retrogression.
In his words, “We also use this medium to congratulate High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo for his Victory in the court and his victory over evil forces of retrogression in the sterling conduct of the Ijaw youths convention and election which ushered in the new executives of the Ijaw Youths Council, IYC worldwide.
“The Congress further buttressed the fact that free and fair elections can be conducted where there is a will and commitment for excellence. The victory and triumph of government Oweizide Ekpemupolo over evil forces and his commitment to set a standard for doing elections in the Niger Delta has been demonstrated in the just concluded IYC election in Oporoza.
“As partners in progress we urge the new leadership to work with other critical stakeholders to reposition the organization for optimum service delivery especially in critical agencies like the NDDC and other relevant agencies to monitor and track down democratic derivable which in the immediate past has been hijacked by greedy politicians with zero benefit to the people of the region.
“To the new executives, we say that the time for politics and brinkmanship is over and now is the time to work for the betterment of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta region.
“We also use this medium to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for declaring a forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission and appointing Senator Godswill Akpabio as a minister and entrusting him with the supervision and power over the NDDC that has led to the exposure of the numerous atrocities committed by our so called leaders and elders of the Niger Delta. We therefore use this medium to call on Mr. President to ensure that the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission is completed and not truncated.” He said.
