Pastor Moses Orukwo, father of slain 30-year-old Uche Orukwo is begging the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to order an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

Moses made this appeal in a press briefing on Tuesday, where he urged the CP to commence the investigation by inviting the commander of the vigilante unit and the people who went with his son for the operation.

Recall that the state Police Command confirmed the killing of a member of a vigilante group in Diobu, named Uche Orukwo, last Saturday.

Uche was allegedly killed by suspected cultists who went on an operation at Obidanso Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt.

Father of the young man disputed the claim that his son was killed by suspected cultists during the Saturday operation, alleging that information available to him suggest that his son was killed by his colleagues who went with him on the operation.

Moses claimed that there have been hatred and envy against his son by his colleagues after he was promoted to second in command of the vigilante unit where he is posted.
