Cross River born techpreneur has recorded a breakthrough in a new Information Communication Technology (ICT) application introduced as ‘Facesofnaija’.
It is believed that the aim is to enhance communication, interaction and connectivity.
Introducing the new technology in Calabar on Tuesday, a businessman, Mr. Nzan Ogbe, gave insights on the primary purpose and uniqueness of the ICT innovation. According to him, “I introduce to you an application that is absolutely different; it is user friendly that it talks to you, when you open it. It helps to talk to you and encourage you. It calls your name directly and greets you.
“FacesOfNaija has communities that produces  the first opportunity that those our children who have not been to their parents home land for some time, to interface and interact with people from the same community and speak with one voice, no longer in a one man’s effort as other social media applications offer, but now as a community effort.
Ogbe added that, “It connects users to people of the same tribes, culture and even those in Diaspora across the world.  It gives young people opportunities to access jobs and job classifications. You can keep your CVs on the application. It is an unprecedented revolution by itself.
“FacesofNaija offers you verified news; it’s not political or religious. You can be streaming and typing and seeing it at the same time. It enables you to multitask. It offers you opportunity for virtual tour platforms.”
The application according to the techpreneur, bridges the gaps created by other social media applications. Its now one of Nigeria’s indigenous technologies, from Cross River State.
