In Two Years, Otu Has Made C’River Proud Again -Egbona

Excited by the level of progress made by the Cross River State governor in the first two years of his first term, Dr Alex Egbona, the House of Representatives member from the Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency of the state, has said he is proud to be a Cross Riverian.

Saying that the governor has restored the dignity of Cross River State through his people-oriented projects and programmes, Egbona noted that the people of Cross River were happy with the governor especially for completing projects that had been abandoned in the past.

He said he was particularly happy that projects like the state library and the governor’s office which used to be symbols of mockery to the state had received serious facelift. He commended Otu for the decision to stick religiously to his Peoples First mantra in the choice and quality of projects so far completed, initiated and executed.

“Today, exactly two years ago, our governor mounted the rostrum and took an oath to serve us with all his might and energy. Two years after, I can say that he has kept his promises and the people of Cross River State are exceedingly happy.

“We can see the energy he has deployed into this work. Projects that were abandoned have been visited and completed. He has initiated new projects and has completed some, while many others are ongoing. All of this have happened in just two years.

“I can imagine what our state will look like by the time he is done with his first four years. This clearly shows that we did not make a mistake when we decided to entrust our future into his hands. He has really done well and I am proud of him.

“As a people, we can only continue to pray for and support him to do more. There are still a lot of grounds to be covered with what I have seen. I am very confident that we are in for a jolly ride as Cross Riverians. I congratulate him on this first half of his first term in office,” Egbona said in a statement on Thursday.

He prayed God to keep the governor in good health so that he can continue to deliver good governance to the people of the state.
