The long awaited 2020/2021 Nigeria National League kicked off over the weekend in all the groups across the country.
TNN Sports gathered that a total of four groups, two in the Southern Conference while the other two are from the Northern Conference.
The winners in all the groups will be promoted to feature in the Nigeria Professional Football League at the end of the season.
Meanwhile the Rovers Football Club of Calabar, which is Campaigning in Group B, one of the Southern Conference of the league played their last friendly match against Abia comets Fc of Umuahia last Tuesday.
The match which was played at the Brigadier U J Esuene stadium, Calabar and watched by scanty heads ended in a one all draw.

It would be recalled that Rovers had earlier played four other friendlies against Rockets FC of Ikot Ekpene which they won 2-1, walloped Diamond FC of Calabar 5-0, held Hope of Glory Fc to a 3 all draw and later defeated the same Club 3-1 during the return leg debacle. They also defeated the Leopard Fc of Calabar Municipality 3-1.
Speaking with TNN sports after their last build-up tie against Abia comets, the Chief Coach of Rovers FC of Calabar, Samson Unuanel expressed optimism that the Club will gain promotion to the Nigeria professional Football League next season having, done well in their preparations ahead of the campaign.

He revealed that he has beefed up the team with new players in all the key departments, a development he maintained will placed them on the credit side when the chips are down.
TNN Sports learnt that Rovers will pitch battle in Group B, one alongside the following Clubs namely GO Round Fc of Port Harcourt, Delta Force of Asaba, Nnewi United, stationery stores of Lagos and Ekiti United.
Others are Nileyo Fc Abeokuta, Glant Brillers, Vandrezzer FC of Eket Dynamites FC of Benin, 35c of Ibadan and Akajobi FC
