Mr Igbo Ideba Enya who was inaugurated as chairman of the APC in Imabana 11 ward, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State has spoken on the circumstances that led to his delayed inauguration, even after winning the election.
He told TNN in an interview that those with selfish intentions were behind the plot to stop him from assuming duties as chairman of the ward.
“What happened was as a result of group persons within the ward who claimed to be leaders of the party having a selfish interest and as such, denied me of my victory to enable them archive their selfish gain.”
Enya said having been finally inaugurated, he would do his best to show leadership in the party and secure victory for the APC in the coming elections.
“I now feel relieved and happy that justice has been done and my stolen mandate has been given back to me.
“I will make sure I unite the party at the ward level. Secondly, I and all my ward executives and all party members are going to work tirelessly as to campaign and canvas for all candidates aspiring for various positions in the party. I will make sure I work with both ward executives and all party members in my ward for the party to gain victory come 2023.”
