Factional chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Rivers State, Chief Emeka Beke, believes that Nigerians passed their verdict on the former governor of the state, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on his 60th birthday marked on Saturday.
Beke explained that the verdict was expressed through their overwhelming solidarity and love towards Amaechi as he marked his diamond birth anniversary.
This was revealed in a statement on Sunday by the state APC spokesperson, Mr Darlington Nwauju.
The chairman in his appreciation message to Nigerians said “the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress under the leadership of Chief Emeka Beke wishes to sincerely appreciate Nigerians from all walks of life for the massive show of solidarity and love towards the former Governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON, as he marked his diamond birth anniversary.
“We extend our deepest appreciation to past and present leaders cutting across religious and party lines, the Conference of Former Assembly Speakers, former first ladies, media partners, socio-cultural groups, youth organisations, and teeming supporters for physically gracing the weeklong event which ended with a dinner at the Transcorp Hilton, yesterday, May 31, 2025.
“We say on behalf of the Executives of the APC in Rivers State, may the good Lord bless and honour all attendees.”
Beke stated that “the solidarity and outpouring demonstrated to all Nigerians that most persons still recognize truth and sincere leadership, despite what seems to be eclipse of evil over good. It may be a sound lesson to leaders to note that Nigerians are watching each person and when you are no longer in office, they may give their verdict, as they seem to give in this moment.”
