How Good Samaritan Rescued My Daughter, Captured Her Abductor

Around Evergreen Junction, GRA Phase 3, in Port Harcourt, a young man has rescued a 12-year old girl from a suspected child trafficker.
The incident which happened on Monday, was confirmed by the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-koko, who also confirmed that the girl was receiving treatment in the hospital.
Mother of the girl who gave her name as Comfort Etim narrated how her daughter, Bright Etim was rescued from the suspected kidnapper by a man she described as good Samaritan.
She revealed that before the attempted kidnap, the suspect inquired from her daughter if she was a virgin.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, mother of the rescued girl explained in pidgin English that, “I dey Mile three somebody call me say them thief my pikin.
“One woman thief my pikin, put for motor wan carry go, so one brother run block the motor bring my pikin out with the lady.
“Now I run from Mile three come back, as I come back I come see the lady. We take the lady to Police for Abacha Police Station.”
Narrating what her daughter told her, Etim added that, “my pikin is 12 years old. As I come back I ask my pikin, my pikin say em ask her whether em be virgin, whether she don sleep with any man, my pikin tell am say no, say em no sleep with any man.
“My pikin know know this person before, me I don’t know her before. I no even know where em from.”
As at press time, we gathered that the suspect is being detained at Abacha Police Division on Abacha Road, GRA Phase two, Port Harcourt.
