This is 25-year-old photographer, Obijiaku Onyekachi Kingsley, he is in dire need of N10 million to facilitate his transfer abroad for an urgent kidney transplant.
The Imo State born school leaver who has been confined in a hospital in Anambra State for over six months now spoke with EDITH CHUKU in an online interview.
Let’s meet you?
My name is Obijiaku Onyekachi Kingsley; an O’level student, I am from Ideato North in Imo State. I’m 25. I am a photographer.
What really happened to you?
The doctor said I’m sick of chronic kidney disease ll. I’m sick of a very deadly disease called chronic kidney disease II.
When did you start noticing it?
I started noticing it since July 2020. This has been my predicament since eight month’s.
What has the doctor said is the solution?
That I will undergo a transplant which will cost N10million.
Has anyone made any reasonable donation to that effect, how much is left to make up the needed amount?
The only money we had gotten has been spent on hospital in blood transfusion and other drugs while we wait for a helper to come.
How long have you been in the hospital?
In Imo State?
No, Anambra State, but the transplant will be done outside the country.
Before going to the hospital, did you try traditional treatment?
No, they said I should avoid native medicine.
Are there things you use to do before that you can’t do now because of your health?
Totally I can’t do anything now I work with working stick always losing strength.
What about your parents?
My father is late since 2003, and my mum is doing nothing just we helping her.
