Accord Party Campaign Director General, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chimenem Bobo Worlu, has said that his party’s gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 elections, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs is a messiah.
Worlu stated this in an exclusive interview with TNN, shortly after receiving DMOMA Award of Young Promising Politician of the year, held at Hilltop Event Center, GRA, Port Harcourt.
The DG, who is also a flagbearer of his party for the house of reps, in the forthcoming election told our correspondent that Dumo is god sent to the people of Rivers State.
According to him, “it is very clear and indeed very visible to the blind; too sound to the deaf that Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu Briggs is a God sent to Rivers people, and that is what I call him, God sent to Rivers people.
“Rivers people are yearning for him because they know who he is, a selfless and compassionate philanthropist, he has helped millions of Rivers people, he has trained so many, bringing succour to thousands of people with his personal resources. Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs has done, and has continued to do what even those in power, holding and occupying political offices cannot do.”

Worlu expressed confidence that “if he(Dumo) becomes the governor of Rivers State, you will experience the difference between a military system of government in a democratic era and the delivery of true dividends of democracy, where contest will be a fair game, and developmental stripes will be the peak of the day.”
Reacting to the issue of flyovers being constructed by the state governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Worlu said “for me, as a civil engineer, I want to let you know that sustainable developmental stride in every system of government cuts across all sectors, not focusing on flyovers and ring roads.
“Now, when you come to the cities, almost 60 per cent of where he built flyovers are not needed there, if you doubt me go to the blueprint of Rivers State, in the cassette, those places were not recommended for flyovers, instead of flyovers, construct a major roundabout, well beautified to attract people.
“Like Tank, the Tank that leads to Igwuruta and Eneka, that place, if there was a feasibility study before the awarding of that road, it shouldn’t have been a flyover, it would have been an exceptional, professional, well designed ring road roundabout that connects the East-West road, the Eneka-Igwuruta road, that of Tank, and again, the center can be designed for another purpose.
Reiterating his belief that Dumo will do much better if elected into office as governor, Worlu also spoke on the 200,000 SAs of the governor. He said, “how does this sound that N20,000 was paid to a government staff? Being an SA to the governor, you should have an office, where you report to every morning, what are your functions?
“To us, we know that these are people that have been deceived and many also know the truth, they want to use them for election thuggery, but thank God for the new electoral act and BVA, the only magic for election, nothing more, you cannot buy votes, you cannot rig election, so, that is not employment, to them, political family it’s called empowerment. We were told it’s N200,000, but today they are receiving N20,000, so who is fooling who?”
