Group Hails PDP Chair For Role In Obio/Akpor LG Chairman’s Victory

A socio-cultural pressure group, Strong Workshop, has commended the Rivers State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Mr. Aaron Chukwuemeka, over what they described as his overwhelming support to Mr. Chijioke Ihunwo, in the October 5th LGA election in the state.

The group noted that Ihunwo’s emergence as the chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area was following the support of Chukwuemeka, PDP and APC in Ward 14.

Speaking with newsmen in Eneka clan, Port Harcourt, the Director General of Strong Workshop, Mr. Emmanuel Bekwelem Chuku, said, “onbehalf of Strong Workshop nationwide and Eneka chapter, I want to thank the leadership of APC and PDP in Ward 14 for coming together to support Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo to emerge as Obio/Akpor Local Government Chairman.

“My most sincere appreciation goes to the PDP party chairman, Hon. Aaron, for giving his nephew, Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo, the support to emerge as Obio/Akpor LGA chairman and as well, his immediate community brother, Hon. Bright Wobo, to emerge as the councillor of ward 14. I want to thank him, it’s not easy.”

Chuku then called on the Obio/Akpor chairman to, “carry ward 14 along because the ward 14 came together; both APC and PDP and every other party to give him maximum support, that was why he won his election here overwhelmingly.

“We urge him to carry ward 14 along.”
