The suspended governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting fundamental human rights, and promoting inclusive and transparent governance.
In his democracy day message, Fubara highlighted the crucial role of robust security strategies in safeguarding lives and property, alongside a government committed to transparency and accountability.
The governor reflected on Nigeria’s 26 years of continuous democratic rule, calling for collaboration across political divides to build a society where every citizen is heard and supported.
He acknowledged the recent political turbulence in the state, noting that it served as a reminder of the delicacy of democracy.
Fubara highlighted his administration’s priorities, including fairness, open-mindedness, and the protection of civil liberties.
He emphasized the importance of inclusivity, responsibility, and openness in governance, with the goal of helping democracy thrive for future generations.
