FRSC Seeks Partnership With NUJ In C’River

The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Cross River State, has appealed to the Nigerian Union Of Journalists, Cross River State, to synergize with the Corp, in order to achieve their 2022 goal of reducing road traffic crashes RTC by 15 per cent.

The appeal was made at the NUJ press centre Calabar on Tuesday in a press briefing by the FRSC sector commander for Calabar, Elizabeth Fumilayo Akinlade.

“We do teach road users especially, defensive technique driving to the people, not because they want to take driving as a career, but because of safety Don’t claim right on the road, that’s part of defensive driving advocacy.

“I’m soliciting your cooperation to help us achieve safety on our roads. A lot of bread winners have been killed, so I beseech you to please join us and enlighten the people, because most times they see us as enemies on the roads. We say Weldon, and thank you all, please help us,” she said

ASUU Prepares UNICAL Students For Strike

In his response, the NUJ chairman, Cross River State, comrade Victor Udu said the union would continue to support the FRSC.
