Excitement Trails Commissioning Of Classroom Blocks In Rivers Community
2 min readPrincipal of the Universal Basic Education, Government Secondary School, Eneka, in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Mrs. Emilia Amadi has expressed gratitude to the state governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led administration over the completion and commissioning of the newly built six blocks of classrooms for the school.
She said this during the official handover of the blocks of classroom built by the Rivers State Government through the Universal Basic Education/ State Universal Education Board, UBE/SUBEB.
Speaking during the commissioning, the principal noted that the newly completed classroom blocks would not only reduce population in some classes and ensure proper utility of available space in the premises, but has also added beauty to the school environment.
She said “we are indeed very grateful to our amiable governor, Chief Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and of course the executive chairman of the universal basic education board, Dr. Ndubuisi Akah for not just commencing but ensuring the completion of this project in less than four months.
“Indeed the governor is passionate and ensuring better and quality education for the people of Rivers State. It’s no doubt that there are areas we still need the intervention of the governor but for this singular privilege of receiving the keys to these well furnished, constructed classroom blocks, we say thank you.
“This is indeed an answer to prayer and we are very hopeful that other areas needed to be looked into will be taken care of soonest. The government and the UBE have done their part, I want to on behalf of the staff of this school promise that we will also do our best to ensure maintenance and constant proper hygiene.”
This is about the third time that the UBE is embarking on similar projects. The newly commissioned six classroom blocks has well beautified water system toilets, staff offices and shelves for books storage.
