For her contributions in the glorious outing of the Super Falcons who returned to Nigeria with a golden trophy, following their defeat of Morocco at the just concluded WAFCON, Miracle Ofem Usani has received praises from Dr Alex Egbona.
Miracle, 18, hails from Yakurr, in the Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency which Egbona represents in the House of Representatives.
An obviously elated Egbona, in reacting to the Super Falcons’ victory at the tournament said it was pleasing to see that his constituent contributed to the overall success of the team.
He said in a congratulatory message on Tuesday, that Miracle did not only bring glory to Nigeria, but that the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency was honoured by her superlative performance and behaviour throughout the tournament.
“It is exciting to note that you, a daughter of Yakurr, a daughter of Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, were part of the winning team that has brought glory to our federal constituency, our state and our country.
“Words cannot explain how exhilarated we are for this feat. You did not only stand out in the field of play, you stood out in character throughput the tournament.
“This feat is indeed very reassuring for us as a people. It confirms my belief in the capacity and character of our youths, that with determination and resilience, you can attain any height in life.
“You had a very good outing out there and today, we are all celebrating your return home with a golden trophy.
” You have made us proud and we are proud to have you as our daughter. I know you will go places and continue to make us proud in the years ahead.
“The star in you will not dim. You will continue to shine the light for our constituency and make us proud.
“I congratulate and celebrate you and your excellent spirit. As our daughter, you cannot walk alone.”
He urged all youths in the constituency to emulate Miracle and engage in those things that will only bring glory, instead of shame, to their fatherland
