A former commissioner for information and strategy, Chief Nathan Egba-Dienagha, has assumed duties as the new chairman of the Okpoama Kingdom Chiefs Council OKCC, in the Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Egba-Dienagha emerged chairman with 29 votes against his opponent, Chief Diepreye Inengibofa-Asapurabo, who scored 27 votes.

The election was held at the Community Hall in Abainama, Okpoama Kingdom and Egba-Dienagha is expected to serve for the next two years as chairman of the chiefs council.
Others elected were, Chief Tuboibinyo Warighaye-Dundas – Vice Chairman; Chief Inenyo Yousuo-Ogbulu – Secretary; Chief Eremiete David-Deigh – Assistant Secretary.
Also elected were: Chief Isaac Calmday-Ezekiel- Treasurer; Chief Isaac Akono-Igolo -Financial Secretary; Chief David Okolai-Otiete -Public Relations Officer, while Chief Kingsley Ikoko-Karibo and Chief Wapaemi Amagbe Aniki were elected Provost 1 and 2 respectively.
