The National Youth Service Corps Director, Internal Audit, Dr. Levi Agim, has charged the 2026 Batch A Stream 1 corps members deployed to Rivers State, to serve with patriotism, discipline and dedication.
Agim gave this charge on Monday, when he visited the state NYSC permanent orientation camp at Nonwa-Gbam Tai, where he stressed the need for corps members to be dedicated, selfless, committed and passionate in their service.

He advised them to, “take your service year very seriously. Don’t see it as just a year of jamboree and waste.
“The service year offers you the opportunity for sober reflection, introspection, and appraisal of how you want your life to be in the next few years?”
The NYSC director further charged them to, “serve with a patriotic spirit, discipline, passion, commitment, and dedication, bearing in mind that the nation places huge hope and expectations on you.”
Agim advised the corps members to be role models in the communities where they will be posted, make positive impacts in the lives of the people, be good ambassadors of the NYSC scheme and equip themselves with a skill through the instrument of SAED.
On his part, the State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, eulogised the corps members, describing them as well-behaved, respectful and humble.
Oleghe informed the director that, “these corps members have been disciplined, well-behaved, and actively participating in all camp programs and activities.
“The exercise is going as planned despite hiccups of high cost of food items and maintenance of camp facilities.”
