Egbona Hails Ndoma-Egba, Ita-Giwa, Ngaji, Obun, Others Over Federal Appointments

The House of Representatives member from Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, Dr Alex Egbona, has sent a message of goodwill to all natives of Cross River State recently appointed by President Bola Tinubu into the governing councils of tertiary institutions in the country.

Among them are Senators Victor Ndoma-Agba who are to head the Federal University, Lokoga, Kogi State as council chairman, Florence Ita Giwa as Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, Cross River State, Mr Cletus Obun who is Chairman, Federal College of Education, Iditep, Akwa Ibom State as well as Mr Jude Ngaji, member of the governing council of the Moddibo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State.

 The others are Bassey Anamtequa, member King David Umahi University of Medical Science, Eburu, Ebonyi State, Ferdinand Adie, Member Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Tina Agbor Member Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Tony Udiandeye, Member Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, Cross River State and  Navy Captain, Charles Iyam Ogwa (rtd) Member Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State.

In a statement on Tuesday, Egbona also congratulated Mr Martin Orim, member Federal College of Education, Bichi, Kano State, Prof. John Inyang, member Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State, Mrs Mary Eta, member, Federal College of Education, Omoku, River State as well as Goddy Eta who is a member, National Open University of Nigeria governing council.

The lawmaker who said he was confident that all the appointees would add value to the various institutions also urged them to remain good ambassadors of Cross River State. He said “these are men and women of character from our state.

“I do not have any doubt in my mind that they will add value to the system and contribute to the development of the various institutions that they have been appointed to serve either as chairman or member.

“On behalf of the good people of Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, I celebrate and congratulate them on this appointment. I trust that Mr President will continually remember Cross Riverians for such and other types of appointments because we are a people of honour and value.”
