A university lecturer, Professor Mike Okom has advocated for an effective synergy between security outfits and alternative dispute crusaders in order to tackle the security challenges in the country.

He said alternative dispute resolution was the best option in proffering solutions to the growing security menace in virtually all regions of Nigeria.
Okom who is the dean, Faculty of Law in the University of Calabar stated this in Calabar while delivering a lecture at a two day retreat of the Corps of Saint Lazarus Compliancy. He said conventional approach had failed to foster bond and unity in the country. He called for an urgent need to explore a more viable option.

Also speaking, Deputy Commandant In-Chief, Saint Lazarus Compliancy, Col. Uwe Akan disclosed that the group was established in Austria in 2006 as an offshoot of Saint Lazarus Union formed in 1973 with the sole aim of making the world a better place to live in by promoting tolerance, humility, mercy and charity.
Earlier, Vice President of a global charity group, The Less Privileged Coordinator Network TELPECON. Apostle Ken Nwammaka decried the astronomical rate of the vulnerable and less privileged across the globe attributable to conflicts.
He sued for peace, dignity of lives and love as a panacea to the destruction of lives and property in most parts of the world.
