His reaction is coming at a time that some governors have chosen to defect from the PDP, amidst speculations that many more would soon move to the ruling APC.
In the last two months, two governors have left the PDP. They all left with many of their appointees and supporters.
But Diri said in a statement by his aide, Kola Oredipe, that he was going nowhere. He said the PDP was his home and that he would remain there.

His counterpart from Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel had stated a similar position sometime last month, when it was rumoured that he was getting ready to leave the PDP.
Diri had been invited to join the APC by a former deputy governor of his state, Peremobowei Ebebi. According to Ebebi, the APC was the beautiful bride that Diri needed to court at this time.
But Diri said to hell with the beautiful bride because there was nothing enticing about the bride. He said the PDP was the place to be.
