“Our boys did extremely well. They forgot about where they came from. They all fought for one thing-the pride and glory of their fatherland. This is how it should be and I commend our president and the commander-in-chief, for giving them all the support to enable them soar.

“I must equally celebrate my brother and friend, the minister of sports, Senator John Owan Enoh. It is not for nothing that this feat is happening under his watch. I have always believed in his leadership abilities. The day Mr President considered him for the appointment, I knew that he would do us proud, going by his leadership qualities; and he has not disappointed.

He urged the Super Eagles to remain focused as they get ready for the final game against the host country, even as he predicted victory for Nigeria.
