C’River: Owan Enoh, Edu Or Ndoma-Egba May Make Ministerial List *Why Ayade May Not Make It

As Nigerians await the submission of the list of ministerial nominees by the president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the National Assembly for confirmation, it has emerged that either Senator John Owan Enoh or Dr Betta Edu or Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba may make the list of Cross River nominees.
There were speculations also, that the immediate past governor, Prof Ben Ayade, may make the list, but a source in The Presidency confided in TNN that he was not likely to be considered because Ayade could not deliver Tinubu in his state, despite all his assurances.
It was learnt during the weekend that Tinubu was considering the trio of Owan Enoh, Edu and Ndoma-Egba because of their contributions to the party as well as their track record in service.
Owan Enoh is particularly tipped for the position for respecting Tinubu as withdrawal his case against the sitting governor of the state, Senator Prince Bassey Otu and fighting hard to secure victory for him and Otu.
Besides, Owan Enoh has been known to be a member of Tinubu’s political family for years now. In fact, around 2019, Owan Enoh was the rallying point for Tinubu’s group in Cross River. They would hardly do anything in the state without Owan Enoh’s knowledge.
There was even a time that anyone from Cross River who needed to do anything for or around Tinubu was told to get clearance from Owan Enoh. Sources said Tinubu has so much respect for Owan Enoh, hence his consideration to be part of the present government.
For Edu, she was known to have played some roles in the state and generally around the federation, especially in mobilising women for the Tinubu project, in her capacity as the APC women leader.
She was also said to have fought hard to ensure that Tinubu and the APC won the last elections in her ward.
Ndoma-Egba is being considered because of his experience in governance and contributions to stability of the APC in Cross River. He is believed to be very sound and calm and with the intellectual ability to help Tinubu.
