COVID-19 Scare at Rivers Hospital
1 min readThere are fears of possible spread of COVID-19 spread around the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, following the alleged mishandling of a suspected patient at the hospital.
A viral video from a stakeholder on Sunday contained allegations of how the patient was allowed access into a ward in the hospital, at the instance of a senior official of the hospital.
According to the video, a certain Anele who was said to have shown symptoms of the virus had been admitted and treated in the hospital, instead of being moved to the isolation centre.
There were fears on Sunday afternoon that the patient may have died.
The state health commissioner did not take his calls when TNN tried to reach him for confirmation.
