COVID-19: C’River Begins Vaccination Of Front Line Health Workers

Cross River State government has today began the vaccination of AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 on front line healthcare service providers in the state after it received a total of 58, 840 doses of the vaccine on Wednesday.
TNN gathered that the vaccine was first administered to director of state medical services, Mrs. Nkang Magdalene by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu and the Director General, Cross River Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Janet Ekpenyong.
The commissioner for health had noted that the state government has compiled the list of health care providers in the state for effective process. He said the vaccination will begin with the health care service providers and key strategic leaders who will be able to convince others to take the vaccine.
Edu added that the Cross River State government will continue to be proactive in the fight against the coronavirus. She encouraged everyone to always be conscious of the protocols to ensure that the state is safe for her residents.
