The Commissioner for Education in Bayelsa State, Mr, Gentle Emelah, has been presented with the 2nd National School Volleyball Championship trophy and gold medal
The Coordinator Nigeria School Sports Federation, Bayelsa State, Godwin Adagbo made the trophy and medal presentation to the commissioner at his residence on Monday.
Recall over the weekend at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, the Ijaw National Academy of Bayelsa State defeated their Lagos State counterpart in the women’s Volleyball Championship final to emerge winners, a feat that brought pride and honour to Bayelsa State.
In his remarks, Emelah, expressed joy at the historic achievement while reiterating the State Government’s resolve to harness raw talents through School Sports.
He commended what he described as the incredible contribution of the Ijaw national academy school management, coaches and Godwin Adagbo, coordinator Nigeria school sports federation for the honour they have brought to Bayelsa state.
