Bayelsa CP Harps On Information Sharing For Effective Policing

The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Iyamah Daniel Edebor has emphasized collaboration, information sharing and professionalism as key to improving operational effectiveness within the Nigeria Police Force.

The CP made the assertion while receiving participants of the executive intelligence management course on a study tour to the police command headquarters, in Yenagoa, the State capital.

The commissioner commended the initiative behind the course, noting that intelligence-led policing remains critical in addressing contemporary security challenges.

The visiting team, led by the director of coordination and liaison services, Mrs. Vivian Okpe, commended the commissioner of police for the warm reception, noting that the visit would afford them the opportunity to understudy operational strategies, intelligence coordination, and community policing efforts.

A statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Musa Mohammed says the visit forms part of the participants’ academic and practical exposure aimed at enhancing their capacity in intelligence gathering, analysis, and strategic security management.

The visit featured interactive sessions and a guided tour of the command’s special drone unit.
