At Last, Fubara Survives

The Supreme Court has delivered judgment in the case between the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Arc Tonye Cole and Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
In her ruling on Thursday, the apex court affirmed the election of Fubara as the governor of the State in the 2023 gubernatorial election, dismissing the appeal filed by Cole.
Recall that Cole had filed a suit challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Fubara and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP of Nigeria, which was earlier dismissed by a tribunal for lacking merit.
This verdict by the Supreme Court has finally laid to rest the lingering legal battle.
