President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, has been described as a reflection of Nigerians confidence in him.

Chairman of the Board of the South South Development Commission, Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, gave this description on Tuesday, when he congratulated the president and declared his support for his re-election bid.

According to him, Tinubu’s emergence reflected a strong vote of confidence in his leadership and reform driven administration.

Nwuche, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, hailed the president for securing APC nomination and called on Nigerians to renew the president’s mandate in 2027.

His words: “The broad endorsement from about eleven million APC members across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, reflects the growing national acceptance of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the administration’s bold efforts to reposition Nigeria towards economic recovery, infrastructural renewal, and national stability.

“Despite current challenges, the Tinubu administration has shown courage and strategic leadership through pragmatic economic reforms, institutional repositioning, infrastructure expansion, and policies and projects aimed at securing long-term prosperity for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or faith.”

The former deputy speaker expressed confidence that “Nigerians across political, ethnic, and regional divides will overwhelmingly renew Tinubu’s mandate in 2027 to solidify the gains already made and sustain the momentum of national progress.”

Further, Nwuche, who is also a prominent political leader of the Orashi region of Rivers State, comprising the Ekpeye, Ogba and Abua tribes, an area richly endowed with hydrocarbons, assured the president of the full support of the people of the region.

He noted that “the administration of president Tinubu has taken bold steps to set Nigeria on a path of national cohesion and growth.

“The current reforms require time, consistency, and collective national support to fully consolidate and deliver their intended benefits to the Nigerian people.

“Nation-building demands vision, courage, wisdom, patriotism, and sacrifice not only from leaders but also from citizens who must remain committed to the shared responsibility of building a stronger, more prosperous, and united Nigeria.”
