Amidst Hunger, God Sends Whale To Sylva’s Kinsmen
1 min readAs Nigerians groan under the weight of economic hardship and high cost of living, a whale on Wednesday morning landed on the shores of the Okpoama beach in the Brass Local Government of Bayelsa State.
The Okpoama community, which is the hometown of the immediate past minister of state for petroleum resources, Chief Timipre Sylva has already started celebrating over the arrival of the whale, described by the people as God sent.
One of the community folks who gave his name as Tari told TNN over the phone on Wednesday that “God has remembered Okpoama people with the arrival of this whale.
” God must have seen that there is so much hunger in this land, hence he decided to send this whale to us.
“We sighted it from afar since Sunday and by this Monday it arrived the shores of the Okpoama beach and we are already in a festive mood because this is a miracle from God, as our political leaders have forgotten us.”
By Wednesday morning, the joyous Okpoama people had started finding ways of butchering the whale which is believed to be big enough for the entire community to share.
