Immediate past General Manager and Head of Station of Inspiration 105.9 FM, Uyo, Mr. Samuel Enobong Akpan, has been appointed the new Head of Media of the All Farmer’s Association of Nigeria, AFAN Akwa Ibom State chapter.
By this appointment, Akpan is to handle the publicity and media relations of the association in the state.
In a release made available to TNN on Tuesday, the state chairman, Prince Bassey Inwang, explained that “the new Media Head of the umbrella body of all farmers in the state is bringing in a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in the media.
“Mr. Akpan will help shape AFAN’s image in Akwa Ibom by ensuring that all activities of the Association are adequately captured by the thriving media houses in the State and beyond.”
The statement also revealed that “Samuel Enobong Akpan, a member of the Prestigious Nigeria Guild of Editors, NGE and the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ is also an Organic Poultry farmer and was the producer and presenter of a popular Agric program on radio in Akwa Ibom State known as “Agriculture and You”.
“He was the first Channels Television Correspondent in the Niger Delta Region based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He was also a former Head of News of AIT & Raypower FM in Port Harcourt before joining Love FM Crowther Radio, Abuja as the General Manager/Head of Station.”
The AFAN chair further enjoined the new Media Head to work assiduously towards the visibility of the Association in the State.
