As the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, contemplates the set up of caretaker committees in all its chapters across the country, Mr Igo Aguma has written to the acting national chairman of the party, advising against a caretaker committee for Rivers State.
Aguma wrote through his lawyers from the Etiaba Chambers in his capacity as chairman of the caretaker committee of the party in the state. He said based on pending court cases on the same subject matter, it was not auspicious to consider the caretaker committee option for Rivers State at this time.

He said the status quo ought to be maintained since the state already had a caretaker committee and was battling with a litany of court cases.
According to the letter, a copy of which TNN sighted on Friday, there are five pending cases before the court of appeal. Three of them are between Aguma and Isaac Abott Ogbobula and two others.
The others are between the APC and Aguma and two others, while the fifth case is between Victor Giadom and Dele Moses and two others.
