Corps Members deployed to Rivers State for the one year National Youth Service Corps NYSC, have been charged to take the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development SAED, programme seriously.
State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Moses Oleghe, gave this charge during the official opening ceremony and flag-off of the SAED activities for the 2026 Batch C Stream I orientation course.
Oleghe assured the corps members that skill acquired through the SAED programme could shape their future and promote economic independence.
His words: “Take very seriously, the in-camp and post-camp skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development, SAED training in order to shape your life for economic independence, growth and sustainability.
“What you do with SAED can determine how happy or sad you can be tomorrow.”
The NYSC boss cautioned the corps members against being distracted by friends and colleagues, stressing that the future belongs to those who prepare for it.
Earlier, the new State NYSC SAED officer, Mrs. Ngozi Njoku-Nwogu urged the corps members to leverage on the experiences and expertise of the master trainers to guarantee a future of self-sustenance and economic independence for themselves.
