The Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit has arrested and paraded 29-year-old Kelechi Ndubuisi, a native of Abia State, following his alleged involvement in POS fraud related activities.
Ndubuisi, was said to have been placed on the watch list of the state security outfit following allegation of engaging in unauthorized withdrawals from POS terminals.
The volunteer security outfit revealed that the suspect who is currently in the custody of the Operation Doo-Akpo of the Nigerian Police Force was “apprehended and paraded as a suspected fraudster allegedly involved in POS-related theft.
“The suspect was previously linked to a fraudulent transaction carried out in August 2025. Since then, he had been placed on the watch list of the Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit for allegedly engaging in unauthorized withdrawals from POS terminals.
“On April 21, 2026, the suspect reportedly returned to the same POS location at Tombia Market in an attempt to carry out another transaction.
“During the process, he allegedly tried to manipulate the transaction. The POS operator became suspicious after recognizing the name associated with a prior fraudulent withdrawal.
“She promptly alerted her employer, who in turn contacted the Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit. The suspect was immediately apprehended at the scene.”
Meanwhile, investigation has commenced on the matter for further action.
