Four Years On The Saddle, Unical VC Hails C’ River Community For Support

Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, UNICAL,, Prof. Zana Akpagu has lauded members of the Cross River Community in the institution for joining forces with his administration to move the university forward in the last four years.
Akpagu who was represented by the deputy vice chancellor, administration, Prof. Lucy Udida at the grand finale of the Cross River Week celebration held at the Abraham Ordia Stadium, said the team work exhibited by the community had contributed largely to his administration’s achievements.
Overjoyed by the number of participants at the event, he urged members of the community to heighten the spirit of cooperation, oneness and love and used the occasion to commend other stakeholders and groups within the university community for their long existing support and peace on campus.
Also speaking, chairman of the event, Dr. Dornclemz Enamhe lauded the coming together of Cross Riverians, saying it was the beginning of a new dawn.
He commend the vice chancellor for his achievements that had engendered so much support for his administration, Enamhe described the massive turnout, and orderliness of the event as a product of a people driven by passion for identity, unity and progress. Thanking Dr. Raphael Offiong, chairman of Cross River Community for lifting the spirit of Cross Riverians.
Meanwhile the Chairman of University of Calabar Cross River Community, Dr. Raphael Offiong has applauded the vice Chancellor of the university for creating an enabling environment for his members, and other interest groups on campus adding that posterity will not forget him.
He praised the past leadership of the community for the foundational work done and sacrifices made in order to make the dream of a strong, United Community come through.
Adding that the Cross River project is about coming together to show more interest in the institution, and investing ideas and support in all positive ramifications that would help foster the growth and well-being of the university.
