Readers’ International Conference Holds 2020

Preparations are in top gear to host the first ever Readers’ International Conference at the proposed Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium hall Enugu State organized by leadership of the Readers’ Club of Nigeria, a subsidiary of Readers Club International.
The vision of the club is to create a world in which every person attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation by means of education through book reading and information sharing and mission to inspire lifelong learning and advance knowledge through enlightenment and strengthen our communities. 
Among events opted for the day includes the launching of readers’ club bookshop, award to literary giants, best author of the year, best paper presenters, best essayist, best debaters, best entrepreneur, best historian, best cultural singers and dancers among others.
Speaking, the pioneer of the organization who prefers to be called simply Edeh Elijah Chinedu told TNN in an exclusive chat that the aim of the conference was to restore the dignity of Nigerians, home and abroad.
According to him, “we want to transform the educational sector in the very little way we can, we call on Nigerians to join us in this transformation move to enlightening and empowering People like our motto connotes.
“We started this club by sharing knowledge through steady online book exchange, provided access to the cheapest bookshops in Nigeria, I went into and we are still into repackaging and marketing young authors, writers to the world, provide public speaking training classes and paper presentation online and offline, provide platform for a debate, essay writing, drama writing and acting, provided lectures on health maintenance, culture, history, home economics, comedy and much more.
“The conference is going to be a worthwhile event that will stand the test of time and we believe that people will be encouraged to aspire more in the area of education.”
