The first military administrator of Ebonyi State, Chief Walter Feghabo-Amain, is dead.
TNN learnt on Monday morning that the Ijaw son died on Sunday night.

Details of his death were sketchy as at Monday, but a highly revered monarch confirmed to TNN that Feghabo had gone home peacefully.
Until his death, he was a respected figure in both Nigerian politics and traditional leadership.
He served as the Alternate Chairman of the Nembe Chiefs Council, an appointment conferred on him by His Majesty, King Edmund Daukoru, Mingi XII, the Amanyanabo of Nembe Kingdom, Bayelsa State.
While there are varying records of his date of birth, some sources cite March 10, 1955, and others August 15, 1956. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that Chief Walter Feghabo-Amain was a proud son of Ijaw Nation, one of Nigeria majority tribes who built a remarkable career in the Nigerian Navy, where his discipline, dedication, and leadership saw him rise to the rank of Commander before transitioning into public administration.
Feghabo-Amain was equally the military administrator of Delta State during when he focused on laying strong governance foundations, advancing infrastructural development, and encouraging agricultural productivity to promote sustainable growth.
His leadership style emphasized discipline, integrity, and inclusiveness.
He was deeply committed to peace, stability, and community development, especially within Nembe Kingdom in Bayelsa State.
His vast experience in governance, security, and leadership continues to inspire respect and admiration among his peers and across the Niger Delta region.
