As part of the celebration of his 50th birthday, General Overseer of God is Able Mega Fire Ministries, Apostle Kingsley AbieKunogho has given scholarship to two undergraduates and three secondary school students in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
The pastor also used the celebration to continue his usual positive impact on human lives as he presented bags of rice to 25 indigent families in the church.
The birthday which took place at the headquarters of the church at Kpansia attracted other senior pastors and dignitaries, including the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Samuel Numonengi.
Speaking to TNN shortly after the ceremony, the pastor attributed his ministerial advancements to the grace of God upon his life. AbieKunogho, who is fondly referred to as Ororo (Fresh) prophet, said at 50, God had used him to touch lives positively, hence he decided to celebrate his golden jubilee in grand style.
“For one to live from day one to 50 years, despite all the challenges, it’s by the special grace of God. One thing I understand is that life is not a commodity that you can buy in the market. It is a gift from God,” he said.
On the scholarship and gifts, he said “God instructed that I should use my 50th birthday to appreciate him by giving to others freely as he has given to me freely. That is why l gave scholarship to some children from primary school to university and also gave some persons food items.”
The driving force that has kept me moving is God. The second thing is focus. Focus is an extraordinary force that compels you to move even when you don’t want to move.
“If you are not focused, you will die in course. So, God, focus and humility have kept me till this time in spite of the challenges that have come my way because humility comes before honour.
“I am believing God that between now and another decade, I will be able to cover the nations of the earth. I want to travel round the continents of the earth, propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
On the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa state, the man of God admonished the politicians to toe the path of peace and allow the electorate to vote candidates of their choice.
