Looking very confident and full of smiles, Senator John Owan Enoh on Monday said Nigerians would be proud of his service as minister of the federal republic.
Owan Enoh was the fifth nominee to be screened by the senate. Even though he was only allowed to introduce himself and thereafter take a bow and leave, he chose to address Nigerians on what to expect from him.
In introducing himself, the former senator had told the senators of his pedigree as best graduating student in his department at the University of Calabar, a lecturer, a legislator in his state of Cross River, a member of the House of Representatives and a senator.
He said from his experience in finance management and leadership, he would serve to the best of his ability and make the nation happy.
Before him, a former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike had appeared and after introducing himself, was told by the Senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to take a bow and leave.
Even a question raised by the deputy senate president on the possibility of Wike replicating in Nigeria, what he did as governor, was not answered before Wike took a bow.
