Some stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have raised concern over the recent attack on the National Chairman of the party.
Last weekend, some unidentified youths had stormed the residence of the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiohmole, in the Okoroutun Government Reserved Area, Benin city.
According to eyewitness, while the youths were waiting for Oshiohmole to come out of his house so they could launch the attack on him, they continually chanted songs of mockery against him. It took the effort of security agents to disperse them from the area.
The deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Felix kurogha, has condemned the attack, urging relevant authorities to bring the attackers to book.
Speaking with TNN in an interview, Kurogha, described the attack on Oshiohmole as a clear violation of his personal right to freedom of movement.

He urged the security agents to bring to book, those involved in the attack. “We want to see justice done, yes, justice must be done fast and very quick. The culprits must be brought to book and immediately, they must be used to serve as deterrent to others in the society.
“Nigerians must realize that APC died a natural death under Oyegun. Oshiomhole’s leadership brought many numerous achievements to the party. APC is today majority in Senate and House of Representatives, and produced both speakers.
Kurogha further called on aggrieved members of the party to shed their sword, seek peace so that their party, APC, will move forward.
He said: “Adams Oshiohmole’s firmness and extra commitment lead APC to victory in the 2019 presidential election. Let us reconcile aggrieved members and move our great party forward.”
