In his mission to rescue, rehabilitate, reform and empower, the founder and general overseer of Omega Power Ministries OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has rescued a suspected kidnapper and armed robber in Rivers State.
The Port Harcourt-based cleric also provided the suspect with an opportunity to begin rehabilitation at the OPM Free Rehabilitation Centre, on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Chinyere revealed this on Sunday during church service where he displayed an Army uniform, pistol and native charms supposedly belonging to the suspect.
The suspect was said to have been carrying out kidnapping and armed robberies while disguising himself in a Nigerian Army uniform.
OPM pastor narrated on his Facebook page that, “a notorious kidnapper and armed robber was rescued today, 6th September 2026. According to the information available, he allegedly carried out kidnappings and armed robberies while disguising himself in a Nigerian Army uniform.
“The Army uniform, pistol, and native charms reportedly in his possession have been handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and necessary action.
“By tomorrow, he will commence his rehabilitation at the OPM Free Rehabilitation Centre, where he will receive guidance, counselling, and support as he begins the journey toward becoming a better citizen.”
He noted that, “for more than 15 years, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor has been involved in rescuing, accommodating, rehabilitating, and empowering thousands of vulnerable people, including repentant kidnappers, armed robbers, cultists, commercial sex workers, and street children.
“After rehabilitation, many are given the opportunity to learn different vocational skills at the OPM Free School of Skills, helping them become self-reliant and productive members of society.
“Many of those who have gone through these programmes have turned their lives around and become responsible citizens of Nigeria. The purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, reform, and empower. Fully funded through tithes and offerings from OPM church.”
