Lawmaker Hails Newly Promoted AIGs From C’River

The House of Representatives member from Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, Dr Alex Egbona has attributed the recent promotion of three sons of Cross River State to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, to their steadfastness and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Egbona said in a statement on Monday, that the three policemen- Bassey Samuel Ewah(Etung), Nanghe Itam(Yakurr), Akaninyene Ezima Ifebem(Biase)- were sons of Cross River State that had done Cross River proud.

“It is gratifying to see that you have made our state proud through your conduct and service to our country. It is not a mean feat to rise to the position of AIG in the Nigeria Police Force.

“If you did not do well, you would either been out of the way a long time ago or you would have remained stagnated in the Force. But here you are, being promoted to the rank of AIG.

“You have made us proud and we are proud of you. This should be a source of encouragement to other policemen from the state, to be dutiful and professional in the discharge of their lawful assignments to the nation,”Egbona said.

He urged the newly promoted officers to continue doing the right things and look forward to the peak of their career, while also pledging his continued support to all his constituents to enable them succeed in their chosen professions.

Recall that Egbona has facilitated the engagement of many people from his federal constituency in the police. Apart form the police, many others have been engaged in the Nigerian Army and other para-military institutions.
