The revelation by a Lagos State based prophet, Ekong Ituen, has been described as a political prophecy.
Ituen of the Christian Deliverance Ministry, made a shocking prediction regarding one of the sons of the FCT minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, who is also the immediate past governor of the state.
The prophet, known for his yearly prophecies said, “it has been established and confirmed in the spiritual realm, that one of the sons of the FCT minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, will become Rivers State governor in the future.”
Ituen did not reveal which of the FCT minister’s son would likely contest to emerge governor but recently, Wike has frequently included his sons in official government engagements.
The 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit in Dubai, his sons, Jordan and Joaquin Wike, attended as part of the official delegation which sparked allegations of nepotism and misuse of public funds.
Wike’s sons have been accompanying him at various events, including a visit to the President of the Lombardy Regional Government in Italy and project inspections in Abuja.
In response to critics, the former Rivers State governor had explained that, “my children travelled with me to learn, to see how the world is.” But the recent prediction by Ituen has contradicted the FCT minister’s claim.
In an interview with TNN on Tuesday, a loyalist of the governor, Mr. Victor Dike, asked, “why didn’t the prophecy come five years ago? The prophecy should have come earlier than this time, that tells you that it is a political prophecy because with the exposure of the FCT minister’s son, Jordan, what would bring him back to Nigeria to pertake in Nigeria politics, why would he want to be relevant in Nigeria politics.
“His father, the FCT minister started from the grass root at Obio/Akpor Local Government Area here, Jordan has been exposed worldwide, his father has been moving around with them to some areas, Wike might want to project his son.”
Meanwhile, on the 2027 gubernatorial election in the state, Ituen noted that an unexpected candidate would emerge governor which would be shocking to everyone.
From his prediction, the prophet sounded more like the days of the incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara, in the government house was over.
He had also in October 2025, predicted that the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, would be stranded, not able to get the ADC ticket, while revealing that Obi has lost the chance of becoming Nigeria’s president.
