The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Daniel Iyama Edebor has visited the Bishop Dimeary Grammar School in Yenagoa, venue of the ongoing requirement examination exercise for the intake of Police Constables.
A press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Musa Mohammed noted that the visit was for the CP to ascertain the smoothness of the exercise and ensure adequate security for both examiners and organisers of the programme.
Iyama emphasized the need for professionalism in the conduct of his men, check malpractices and strict adherence to the directives of the Inspector General of Police on zero tolerance for corruption during the process.
He added that the visit became imperative in view of the command’s commitment to credible and transparent recruitment exercise.
The police image maker noted that the examination which started on April 28th will end on April 30th, 2026.
