Founder and general overseer of Omega Power Ministries OPM, Pastor Chibuzor Chinyere, has revealed his plans for a child abandoned at his gate on Thursday.
Chibuzor took to his Facebook to explain that he found the boy at his gate, noting that he has informed the police about the situation.
The OPM pastor also revealed that he would be handing the child over to the ministry of social welfare, insisting that he would not be accepting any child into his home without proper registration with the ministry.
He lamented being under attack for helping helpless children, noting that he already has more than 500 children under my care.
His words: “Another boy has just been abandoned at my gate. I have already informed the police, and I will be handing him over to the Ministry of Social Welfare.
“Please note that I cannot accept any new children into my home until the proper registration with the Ministry of Social Welfare is completed. The law must be followed.”
OPM pastor known for his charitable works further commended the ministry and the association of female lawyers FIDA for educating him on legal proceedings.
“I sincerely thank the Ministry of Social Welfare and FIDA Nigeria (FIDA) for educating me on the correct legal procedures.
“Therefore, no new children will be accepted into my home until my lawyers complete the required registration with the Ministry of Social Welfare in Rivers State.
“I will be calling the Ministry to take custody of the boy, as it is illegal to keep him without proper authorization. So I cannot accept him at this time.
“See all the attack against me for helping the helpless children. Also, there are already more than 500 children currently under my care.”
