USA Partners Nigeria Police

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 16 Command, comprising Rivers and Bayelsa States, AIG Johnson Adenola has commended the Chartered Examiners and Forensic Investigators, USA for partnering the Nigeria police in fighting crime.

The AIG gave the commendation when the global chairman of the USA forensic investigators, Prof. Mannixs Paul paid him a courtesy call in his office at the zone 16 headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.

Adenola who is also a fellow of the institute expressed appreciation for the collaboration, noting that the activities of the group were in accordance with modern policing mechanisms, particularly in the aspect of forensic investigation.

In a statement signed by the zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gunn Ewhobowho, the AIG promised to strengthen and sustain the partnership to enhance community policing, prevent and reduce criminal activities.

Responding, Prof. Paul underscored the significance of collaboration in effective fight against crime, describing it as a shared responsibility that requires synergy between law enforcement agencies and professional organisations.

He appreciated the effort of the zone 16 Command in tackling crime, particularly in Bayelsa, Rivers and other states, reaffirming the institutes resolve to support the police in capacity building and technical knowhow in combating crime.
