The senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has said that Nigeria needs people of character in the mould of Margaret Agebe Ochalla, one of her constituents who was recently promoted to the rank of DIG, by the Nigeria Police.
While receiving her in the National Assembly on Monday, Jarigbe also hailed her courage and hardwork, which he said must have informed the decision to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).
Saying that the appointment was a well-deserved recognition for her hard work, discipline, and many years of dedicated service to the Nigeria Police Force, Jarigbe said noted that Ochalla’s promotion was timely, as she would to strengthen internal security and deepen public confidence in law enforcement.
The lawmaker prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, and strength as she assumes her new and higher responsibilities in service to the nation.
In her remarks, Ochalla expressed appreciation to Jarigbe for adjusting his flight schedule to be part of her decoration ceremony. She also thanked other leaders for their continued support and commitment to the growth and prosperity of Cross River North.
Ochalla, who hails from Yalla, was promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police last week and was officially decorated on Monday.
